Oncology massage and reflexology are gentle therapies which safely address the needs of those with cancer and a history of cancer. It pays close attention to the physical, emotional and psychological needs of the client from diagnosis thought to treatment and survivorship.
In this presentation, Oncology Massage Therapist and Reflexology teacher, Tiziana Hill, will share her insights and knowledge on how these specialist treatments work and how they can help alleviate side effects such as pain, fatigue, nausea and anxiety for people going through treatment.
A gentle approach continues to be the best once a person has recovered from cancer and this event will explore this. She will also talk about scar tissue therapy and how a specialised form of reflexology can specifically help lymphoedema.
Tiziana will demonstrate aspects of this work on seated/clothed volunteers during the presentation and there will be a 15 minute mini-workshop on hand reflexology.
The workshop will go for a maximum of 1.5 hours - depending on number of attendees and questions.
